Christa Trexler received her PhD from the MCDB department at the University of Colorado at Boulder in 2017 studying sex differences in heart disease. She now works as a postdoctoral fellow in the cardiology department at UC San Diego. She is also one of the coordinators of the 500 Women Scientists San Diego Pod, which focuses on promoting equality and inclusivity while advocating for science in the community (https://500womenscientistssandiego.weebly.com/).
