My name is Lila (they/them pronouns), and I am a white, queer, nonbinary trans person. I am a scientist, a rock climber, and a trans equity advocate, and I’m passionate about increasing queer representation in science and the outdoors. In my research, I use satellite images to study how plants are responding to climate change.

There is a lack of queer visibility in science fields. For transgender people, this visibility is even lower.
