Evelyn Valdez-Ward (she/ella) is a rising fourth year, undocumented, Ph.D. Candidate and co-creator of Reclaiming STEM. As a Ford Fellow, her work focuses on the effects of drought on the interactions between plants and their soil microbes. She's a fierce advocate for undocumented and marginalized scientists. You can follow her on twitter @wardofplants. Linh Anh Cat earned her Ph.D. in ecology at University of California, Irvine and will be a postdoctoral scholar at Scripps Institution of Oceanography.
