Mary-Rose and Vanessa are completing their PhDs in biology and biochemistry, respectively, at McGill University in Montreal, Canada. Vanessa is co-president and Mary-Rose is Vice-President External Relations of Science and Policy Exchange, a student-run non-profit aimed at providing a platform to gain experience in science policy and elevate the student voice in evidence-based decision making. Both Mary-Rose and Vanessa have organized events and are involved in local initiatives to promote EDI in STEM.
